Pay from the hours people log
- Pay
- Time tracking
Most small teams work out pay the same way. Someone exports the timesheets, opens a spreadsheet, looks up each person’s rate and adds it up. Then someone else checks it. It works until a rate changes halfway through the month, or a person logs hours on five projects, or two of your people are paid in euros.
eBillStack does that sum from the hours themselves.
The hours are the source
Everyone logs time against a project, and a task if you use them. When the week is done, they submit it. Depending on how you set approval up, every week waits for a reviewer, only long entries and long days do, or nothing does.
The same entry can go on a client invoice and into someone’s pay, or just one of them. Internal work is often payable but not billable.
A pay run, on your schedule
Pick how often you pay: as needed, weekly from any weekday, every two weeks, twice a month or monthly. The app suggests the next pay period, and you can still choose any dates.
A pay run then covers every project for those dates. It groups lines by person and currency, and each line shows the hours and the rate behind it. Rates can be set per person, and per person on one project. If a project sets a minimum rate on a task, pay is the higher of the two.
Lock, check, approve
You prepare the run, lock it for review and approve it. Approved amounts don’t change when a rate changes later. If you want a second pair of eyes, turn on the setting that stops people approving pay they prepared.
Hours from somewhere else
Sometimes the hours live in another system: a client’s own timesheet, or a tool your team used before. Add them as an adjustment. They’re priced from the person’s rate, they never become time entries, and they show on the pay run and the statement like everything else.
What happens next
Each person gets a statement as a PDF and a CSV. You pay them the way you already do, then record the payment, in full or in part. eBillStack never moves money itself.
